ISAYOTTAS are original creations by Isafara, painter.

I invented the word ISAYOTTA for these paintings that take over large formats and allow my imagination to run free.

ISAYOTTAS can measure 1.50 × 1.50 metres, 2 metres or more. Some are painted on both sides, front and back, as if the painting refused to stop at just one surface.

They can be colourful, strange, poetic, surprising or completely unexpected. I do not impose strict rules on them. An ISAYOTTA may emerge from an idea, a meeting of shapes or simply the desire to paint.

Some are conceived as independent works. Others can converse with another painting or reveal something when seen from a different angle.

ISAYOTTA is a word I created. It did not exist before my paintings.

Perhaps that is what I enjoy most: inventing the word at the same time as the work.

Above all, an ISAYOTTA is a free painting.

A painting without instructions. A painting that may surprise. A painting that can simply be… an ISAYOTTA.
